Work with Me
Alongside my studio practice, I offer private sessions and small group workshops.
Private Sessions
Private Sessions are one-on-one time in clay, shaped around you. Sessions are typically held in my studio, though in some cases I can travel to you if that feels more supportive.
We begin with conversation — sometimes with a prompt, sometimes with stillness. We may pull a card, set an intention, or simply sit with what feels present. From there, we work in clay.
People come to explore grief, desire, aging, body memory, transition, relationship, and identity. Clay gives those questions shape. It’s sacred, but not serious. We make room for depth, and we make room for play.
These sessions are not focused solely on skill. Technique matters, but it is not the center. What matters most is what wants to be made. You might create something symbolic for an altar, a form that honors a season of life, a piece that reclaims or celebrates the body, a vessel that holds memory. Each session unfolds differently. The work is guided, but not prescribed. What emerges belongs to you.
Session Details
Private sessions are $200, which includes your making session, a return glazing session, both firings, and all materials — everything needed to bring something meaningful and handmade by you into the world.
These sessions are creative explorations through clay and are not a substitute for therapy or medical care.
Workshops
My workshops are small, intentional gatherings centered around shared making.
Some are process-based experiences where the focus is simply on working with the clay and seeing what emerges. Others are more immersive sessions where pieces are fired and returned.
We begin by setting a tone for the space. Sometimes with a prompt. Sometimes with a story. The emphasis is not on perfection, but on presence and playfulness.
Storytelling is woven throughout. When people speak about what they’ve made, magical connection happens. What was private begins to feel witnessed.
Workshops are designed to feel like a shared table rather than a class. They are welcoming, accessible, and open to both beginners and experienced makers.
Ongoing Hand-Building Class
On Monday evenings, I teach a hand-building class at Art Space on the Coast in Pacifica.
This is a relaxed, project-based class where students explore pinch, coil, and slab techniques while developing their own ideas. It functions a bit like guided open studio time but with instruction, support, and room to follow your curiosity.
If you're looking for a steady weekly clay rhythm in a community setting, this class may be a good fit.
All registration and payment is handled directly through Art Space on the Coast.
